Season 1
Being a Farmer
The four friends gather to start a farming life in the countryside. Kyung-soo shares that it's been his dream to live as a farmer, but once he faces reality, he isn't so sure about his dream anymore. They must decide what to plant in a field that's as big as 1,653m, but they have a conflict of opinion. Will they be able to start planting the seeds of the plants they want?
Farming on Boknal
The four friends return to the field to set up their farm and plant crops. They also play games as they work and enjoy their experience in the countryside. After planting all the seeds with anticipation, heavy rain falls, which concerns the novice farmers who are out of town. So, the four farmers return earlier than planned to check on their crops. Will their field be fine despite the rainfall?
A Fresh Start
As Kyung-soo can't make it on this day, actors Lim Ju-hwan and Jung Soo-kyo visit as guests and help with the fieldwork. Unfortunately, the members discover that they must restart their farm from scratch. In this process, they receive aid from a tractor, the ultimate piece of modern agricultural technology. Will they be able to properly grow crops and experience their first harvest this time?
Farming in the Rain
The four novice farmers gather at the farm in the pouring rain. After working in their field for a short while, they realize that they cannot possibly continue farming in the bad weather. So instead of continuing work, they decide to treat the elders in town to samgyetang and perilla leaf jeon made from their harvest. Afterward, they find another lodging to escape the downpour and stay the night there. How will they manage to maintain their farm during the monsoon?
Making a Flower Garden
The novice farmers discover that their farm has been making progress. Although some crops have died, many have been thriving in the field, thanks to the four farmers' care. The members head to a flower market to buy plants to decorate their circular field with. They also make a bet with the production crew over a game of badminton to get the staff members to install a sprinkler and wash perilla leaves. However, the members' opponent is none other than Director Baek Dong-ju, a former badminton player. Who will be the winner of this big match?
The Field Fluorishes
The novice farmers return to their field to discover that greenery has grown. Their crops are flourishing, and they are excited to harvest and cook using their crops. The members return to the flower market to buy more plants to decorate their flower garden with. New machinery is installed on their farm for their convenience. Things all seem to be going smoothly until they realize that they must weed out their field, which will take hours, if not days. How will they overcome this crisis at the farm?
Using a Spade Instead of a Hoe
The crops in their garden start to grow as well as weeds. The members decide it's too much to handle on their own and ask the staff for help. So the surface tension game starts. If the members win, the staff will help with the weeding and if the staff wins they will just leave the camera and go home tomorrow.
Making Perilla Oil
It is the last day of the shoot. The novice farmers return to their field to discover that it is in full bloom. After harvesting their lettuce and cabbage, they decide to shake and winnow their perilla seeds as well to squeeze perilla oil from them. With the help of Mr. Dong Geun and the mill downtown, they successfully make perilla oil and think of different ways to cook with it. What will their dinner, made from their months' worth of harvest, look and taste like?
