About
In a war against evil, the White Force and the Black Force have a Golden Seal Battle every five years. Each force selects five people to represent its community. Whichever side wins the battle has control of the wuxia world for the next five years. However, over the years, the Black Force has become more evil than before, and their goal evolved to destroy all good to allow evil to control the world. When the selected five representatives from the White Force are suddenly killed, its members are forced to find replacements.

Episode 1
YIP MUNG SIK and SUNG MAN TANG, apprentices of the Flying Fish Heights, rush to Able Village to stop the Good Way and Evil Way from fighting with each other. YAU TUEN TO of Wong Shan Clique is suddenly killed. MASTER DEATH WISH claims that he is the murderer. LEE PO YEE, an expert in physiognomy reading, is a good friend of WISH’s. He tries to help by carrying out an investigation at a brothel. There, YEE sees a man with a mask. He also learns from the prostitutes there that this masked man has enquired about the whereabouts of TSUN YIN WANG, a kung-fu master from Ngan Dong Sect. SIK finds YEE strange and follows him all the way to a theatre. YEE doesn’t want SIK to disturb him. He attacks her vital point so that she cannot move. The masked man shows up again. YEE fights with him at the back of the theatre. All of a sudden, a strange breeze blows over the theatre. WANG goes blind and finally dies of a heart rupture.… ...
Episode 2
YEE runs after the masked man all the way to the forest. The masked man reveals that he is the apprentice of the God of Medicine, and that his name is LAI YEUK YEE. He claims that the three kung-fu experts were killed by the Heart Devil. He was only trying to help them with his needles. Before YEUK YEE leaves, he tells YEE that two more kung-fu masters will be killed soon. TANG and his fellow apprentice YIP CHOR SUM report to their master, SHUM SING NAM, that three kung-fu experts have been killed. NAM reveals that the three experts were the representatives of the Good Way who are going to join the Golden Seal Battle. He also points out that TANG and MAN CHING LAU who is from Tim Chong Clique are the other two remaining representatives on the list. A girl from the brothel and her grandfather are being tormented by someone on the street.… ...
Episode 3
SIK is seriously hurt and becomes unconscious. LAU is defeated by the Heart Devil. His heart bursts. SUM begs YEUK YEE to save SIK but YEUK YEE doesn’t show any response. YEE tries to satisfy YEUK YEE by playing with him. YEUK YEE finally agrees to help. YEE uses his needles to save SIK. SIK has finally woken up. She recalls the terrible experience of seeing horrible images in her mind after she had been attacked by the Heart Devil. YEE and YEUK YEE try to think of a way to fight against the hypnosis that the Heart Devil uses. The Heart Devil attacks TANG. YEE stuns TANG and fights against the Heart Devil with YEUK YEE. NAM comes to their help when they are almost defeated. They win the fight finally. Before he dies, the Heart Devil tells them that "Evil grows, Good subsides". YEE recalls then that his master had asked him to prevent the omen "Evil grows, Good subside" from happening before he died. NAM’s wife MAI CHIM returns.… ...
Episode 4
CHIM looks like YEE’s first lover LAN. NAM calls for a meeting with the leaders from different cliques of the Good Way in order to select some new representatives for the Golden Seal Battle. YEE suggests selecting the traitors of each clique to be the new representatives but is told that he is not qualified to speak in the meeting. TANG has recovered but he looks worried. He tells YEE that he had killed a fellow apprentice in order to gain success and fame long time ago. YEE consoles him but it doesn’t work. TANG is so ashamed of himself that he finally commits suicide in Cliff Penitence. YEE bumps into CHIM in the cliff. CHIM admits to him that she is LAN. She tells him that she left YEE without saying a word because she had already been engaged to NAM before meeting him. SIK overhears their conversation. The apprentices of Tim Chong and Ngan Dong Cliques have been ambushed.… ...
Episode 5
SIK is trapped inside the medicine-making room of Chu Kot Pun Li, who is regarded as the Devil Doc. Li forces SIK to try his new poisonous drugs. YEE arrives on time to her rescue. Leaders of the Good Way and the Evil Way are having a meeting at Fei Loi Peak. HONG MANG CHUN, deputy of Heavenly Desire Palace, gives some poisonous drugs to the leaders of the Good Way. KO SHU TIN, leader of Heavenly Desire Palace, arrives late and blames CHUN for breaking the agreement between the two Ways by carrying out immoral acts. He kills CHUN and promises to postpone the Golden Seal Battle for 3 months. NAM asks YEE to search for the long-lost kung-fu experts to represent the Good Way in the Golden Seal Battle. Unfortunately, YUE MONG NGO, the only one who knows where to find the experts, is killed by the Evil Way. YEE only finds 5 prescriptions on NGO’s dead body.… ...
Episode 6
YEUK YEE tries to urge LOI to tell the truth by using his charm. YEE arrives at a gallery. He suspects that one of the paintings belong to SHU. He stays outside the shop to wait for the one who sold the painting to the shop. During his stay, YEE learns from the villagers that many brides have disappeared after passing by the Red River Valley. They believe that the monster of the mountain has seized the brides away. The daughter of the village head is getting married. YEE follows the bridal sedan chair team all the way to the Red River Valley. Suddenly, a wisp of white smoke appears and the bride disappears. Bat Au-yeung urges YEUK YEE to kill YEE as soon as possible. He also claims that he has got a spy in the Good Way. YEE discovers that the one who sold the painting is MAN SIU SHAN, LOI’s stepson. The village head believes in the words of a Taoist and decides to offer a girl to the monster by throwing her in the river.… ...
Episode 7
YEE believes that the monster is a kung-fu expert. From his experience and what SHAN says, YEE believes that the monster is SHU. SHU locks the brides up in a secret chamber. One of the brides pretends to be ill so that SHU will go out to look for a doctor. SIK wants to seize this opportunity to escape and release all the brides but fails. SHU reveals to SIK that he had fallen in love with a woman before the Golden Seal Battle 5 yeas ago. However, the woman betrayed him. He had lost all his standing and reputation. A prominent scar had left on his face, too. LOI kicks YEE and YEUK YEE out of her inn. She then makes delivery in the mountain alone. YEUK YEE has put some medical powder on her goods so as to follow her to SHU’s place. SHU misconceives that LOI has double crossed him. He seizes her away. He asks YEE to bring KONG PIK LING, the woman who betrayed him, to him in exchange for LOI’s life.… ...
Episode 8
SHU wants to kill YEE and take revenge for LING. YEE blames SHU for returning evil for good. SHU suddenly realizes the reality and is enlightened. Later, SHU is relieved to discover that LING and her family members are still alive. SHU agrees to join the Golden Seal Battle. YEE manages to decode another prescription. He presumes that kung-fu expert CHENG TO YIN is at Purple Glow Mountain. HUNG discovers that KWOK TAI KONG, the leader of Kut Chong Clique, is keeping contact with TIN’s subordinate MAN KAU KUNG. She rushes to fight with KUNG but is pushed onto the grass. A fellow apprentice of hers rushes to take her away. HUNG tells NAM that KONG has colluded with the Evil Way but NAM doesn’t believe in her. HUNG is angry. She leaves a note and leaves home. YEE and the others arrive at Ghost Wail Wood. They are trapped in the 5 hidden formation set up by TIN’s subordinates HONG SUET KWAN, CHEUNG HANG SAU and SAU NG FA.… ...
