The story follows childhood best friends Shravan and Suman, who are separated for 10 years after Shravan moves to London following his parents' bitter divorce. When he returns, Suman tries to rekindle their bond, but Shravan’s ego and a misunderstanding involving his father, Ramnath, create a massive rift. The drama focuses on their "tashan" (friction) and their eventual marriage of convenience that turns into true love.

Sharvan was playing Chess with Suman's grandfather in her house and both were having a candid discussion together. However, Suman knew very well that Shravan was waiting for her in her house, and she purposely tried to avoid him by reaching late.
