Paris, fall 2015. Every week, Philippe Dayan receives in his office a stone's throw from Place de la République, a surgeon in the throes of romantic disarray, a couple in crisis, a teenager with suicidal tendencies and a BRI agent traumatized by his intervention at the Bataclan. Listening to these upended lives, the emotional earthquake that unleashes within him is unprecedented. In an attempt to escape, he reconnects with his former analyst, Esther, with whom he had cut ties for nearly 12 years.

The life of Philippe Dayan five years after the Bataclan attacks, after the first confinement in 2020. The psychoanalyst puts his therapeutic processes to the test with four new patients: Ines, a solitary lawyer with a tidy life, Robin, young overweight teenager victim of school bullying, Lydia, a student who came to share dark news about her state of health and Alain, a business manager in media turmoil... Divorced, sued by the family of one of his former patients, Dr. Dayan turns to Claire, a high-profile analyst and essayist whose support he hopes for the ongoing trial.

Ariane – Monday November 16, 2015, 9 a.m.
A psychoanalysis office in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Ariane, a young surgeon, has been Philippe Dayan's patient for a year. After the attacks, she found herself on the front line at the hospital and spent a nightmarish weekend. However, today, she is not just here for that: she finally feels ready to share a dark secret with her therapist...
Adel – Tuesday November 17, 2015, 10 a.m.
Dayan receives a new patient: Adel Chibane, police officer at the BRI. Adel was in the intervention team that entered the Bataclan on the evening of November 13. Since then, he has had symptoms of stress that he cannot explain. He makes contact with Dayan, full of reservations and mistrust.
Camille – Wednesday November 18, 2015, 11 a.m.
Camille, 16, is a young high-level swimmer who is training for the Olympic Games. She comes to Dayan's office following a bicycle accident, both arms in plaster. Her insurance requires a psychological assessment attesting that she is in no way responsible for what happened to her.
Léonora and Damien – Thursday, November 19, 2015, 5 p.m.
Dayan is not an expert in couples therapy, but he agreed to see Damien and Léonora, who have lived together for ten years. Recently, Léonora became pregnant even though the couple had given up on having a second child. The crisis they are going through seems insurmountable. They expect Dayan to help them make a decision about this unborn child... or to make it for them.
Esther - Friday November 20, 2015, 7 p.m.
Dayan rings the doorbell of Esther's office, a former friend and widow of his mentor. She was also his analyst and his controller, but Dayan has not seen her since the day when, in the middle of a session, he slammed the door. But today he is ready to forget old quarrels, desperate to find a new balance in his practice.
Ariane - Monday November 23, 2015, 9 a.m.
After hesitating for a long time, Ariane finally accepted the marriage proposal from her partner Cédric. Dayan, who cannot help but be disturbed, invites him to explore the reasons for this sudden reversal.
Adel - Tuesday November 24, 2015, 10 a.m.
Adel came back. But even though he has learned about Dayan's skills, he proves resistant to the principles of therapy. He wants to control everything, and yet the anxieties are there. Dayan tries little by little to gain his trust and find how to reassure him.
Camille - Wednesday November 25, 2015, 11 a.m.
Camille is on edge. She wants Dayan to write his report as soon as possible. Dayan makes her talk about her divorced parents, and her swimming coach with whom she has a special relationship.
