Star Bestsellers is an Indian television series that was originally telecast on Star Plus in 1999–2000. Each episode in the series is a separate story written and directed by young and upcoming writer-directors and it carried the special intensity for a different feeling but all about proper human condition and indicating that each person has something great at heart. Writers and directors who worked in creating the episodes of the series include Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Imtiaz Ali, Sriram Raghavan and Hansal Mehta.

Neeti (The Frog and the Scorpion)
Directed by Hansal Mehta, this is a story of two best friends, Neeti and Mahesh. Mahesh proposes to Neeti but she turns him down. Later, a stranger seeks refuge from the police in Neeti's house. The stranger, later, comes to her rescue when Mahesh misbehaves with Neeti.
Shuruat
Sameera, a divorcee, lives alone. Her mother-in-law Urmila worries about her while Urmila's husband lives a blissful life. Urmila loves Sameera and visits her to take care of her. She learns about Sameera's abortion while visiting the doctor for her check-up and bumps into Sameera at the clinic.
Prayas
A struggling theatre artist gets a break in a play and impresses the director with his performance. He even bags a role in the director's next play. The only barrier in his path to success is his drinking habit. Will the talented actor be able to overcome this weakness?

Zebra 2
Ahmad, the sole survivor of the undercover team, Zebra, tries to find the culprit behind the terrorist attacks. The Zebra two team tries to complete the first's unfinished mission, but loses men on the job. Forensic expert Pratima then finds an impostor within the team and kills him.
Kagaz Ka Rishta
Abhimanyu returns to his step-father's house after a gap of sixteen years. Old pictures and memoirs send him on a memory trip back in time where he remembers the good moments he shared with his step-father, Ashwin.
