Pawnshop owner Ko Yee-Man often upholds the 'emergency assistance' spirit – there will always be solutions to everything in life, with exception of his three beloved children: Oldest son Ko Wai-Ting and his wife Wan Yun-Han are a very loving couple, but their careers trip them up. Second daughter Ko Yue-Chu almost became the third party in a relationship but was fortunate enough that her bickering friend Lam Fat was there to pull her back up on her feet. As for youngest daughter Ko Yue-Bo, she is a fast and dodgy person. She only knows how to chat day and night, and has no integrity.

Episode 1
Owner of Tak Kwong Pawn Shop, KO YEE-MAN, is delighted that his third daughter YU-PO is coming back from her studies aboard. He goes to a dried seafood shop to buy runny abalone for her but he is caught in a trouble. YEE-MAN’s eldest son WAI-TING’s wife WAN YUEN-HAN goes to a trading company to present their public relations proposal with her subordinate but they are humiliated by the company director’s assistant Miss KOO. YEE-MAN’s second daughter YU-CHU is a policewoman. She comes to her dad’s pawnshop after work and a man comes to pawn a golden necklace. YU-CHU finds that this is a stolen necklace and she chases after the man immediately. YU-CHU and YUEN-HAN go to the airport to pick up YU-PO but YU-PO suddenly calls them to reveal that she is in Hong Kong already. YU-CHU and YUEN-HAN learn that YU-PO hasn’t finished her accounting course and they doesn’t know how to tell YEE-MAN.… ...
Episode 2
YEE-MAN prepares breakfast for all family members and everybody is happy just like before. LAM FAT returns to the TV station and his colleague EVA comes to ask for help. LAM FAT always helps others to tackle their problems but he doesn’t know how to solve his own. LAM FAT informs AH-NUI that he cannot check out the new flat with him so AH-NUI invites YEE-MAN to go with him. YEE-MAN tries to help bargaining for a good price for AH-NUI but he makes the situation even worse. YUEN-HAN wants to go to the airport to pick up his husband WAI-TING but the secretary of Shing Wing Cheung Company suddenly informs her that she could present their new promotional products to their boss GARY in the afternoon… Just when WAI-TING arrives at the airport, a sexy lady MEI-YEE suddenly asks him for help. Before WAI-TING makes any response, a man suddenly captures him. YU-CHU learns from her colleague that WAI-TING became embroiled in a fake gold case…
Episode 3
LAM FAT is captured by YU-CHU because of the fake gold case. LAM FAT reveals that he is innocent but YU-CHU thinks that he is not trustworthy. YEE-MAN and AH-NUI argue with each other on behalf of their children. AH-NUI suddenly faints and he is sent to the hospital. YEE-MAN and YU-CHU return home. YEE-MAN finds that YUEN-MAN is upset for TING-WAI tried to help a sexy lady in the airport and YEE-MAN tries to give suggestions to his son to make YUEN-MAN happy again. The optical shop owner Mr FOK introduces the new manager LEE CHI-KIT to everybody. TING-WAI is very disappointed for he thought that he would get promoted. Kwong Tak Pawn Shop is lack of manpower and YEE-MAN decides to hire one more staff. YU-CHU’s boyfriend LAP-SHUN buys desserts for her and he even helps YEE-MAN to repair the stuffs in the pawnshop. YEE-MAN regards him as a member of the family.… ...
Episode 4
All family members are surprised that YEE-MAN has hired the inexperienced YIP KWAI to work in the pawnshop. YEE-MAN reveals a past story to everyone and he hires YIP KWAI to pay a debt of gratitude. YEE-MAN starts teaching YIP KWAI about the works in the pawnshop. YIP-KWAI finds that the grace period of a golden necklace has expired so he tries to take it out for further arrangements. YEE-MAN and YU-CHU stop him immediately. They reveal that the necklace owner WONG FOOK-CHUEN will redeem the necklace once every year when he visits his wife’s grave. YU-PO fails in a number of job interviews and she tries to make excuses for her failure… YIP KWAI hurts his head and he is sent to the hospital. YU-CHU and LAM FAT discover that FOOK-CHUEN arrives in a pale face. LAM FAT helps his colleague EVA to fight for compensation from the food stall owner. Together with YU-CHU, he accidentally meets FOOK-CHUEN’s missing daughter YUET-WAH…
Episode 5
The KO’s family starts a family meeting to discuss if they should allow YIP KWAI to stay in their house. YEE-MAN decides to find a new place for YIP KWAI. YIP KWAI accompanies YEE-MAN to help tidying up LAM FAT’s new flat. AH-NUI is worried for some old photos are missing. YIP KWAI helps to search for the photos with LAM FAT. YEE-MAN goes to look for TING-WAI at the optical shop. He finds CHI-KIT bullying TING-WAI and he realizes that TING-WAI will not be promoted. All family members go to have buffet in a hotel. TING-WAI and YEE-MAN discover that CHI-KIT is bringing a mistress to the hotel. CHI-KIT suddenly asks TING-WAI to come to his hotel room for he wants TING-WAI to be a scapegoat. LAM FAT goes shopping with YU-CHU and YU-CHU suddenly receives a call from LAP-SHUN saying that he is working in China. However, she later discovers that LAP-SHUN is acting intimately with a woman on the street.… ...
Episode 6
The KO's family discuss YU-CHU's issue in a family meeting and they worry that YU-CHU will become very emotional after the breakup. YU-CHU is heart-broken and she tries to do cleaning overnight. YEE-MAN pretends that he is sick and he asks YU-CHU to stay home with him. The family members go to karaoke together and they hope that YU-CHU could sing her pain away... Since YIP KWAI arrives, all houseworks are well taken care of and everything becomes very tidy. LAM FAT and AH-NUI appreciate it very much. WAI-TING starts working in YUEN-HAN's office. YUEN-HAN's colleagues secretly gossip about him for they believe that WAI-TING gets the job just because of her wife and WAI-TING feels bad about it. WAI-TING, YUEN-HAN and a colleague go to set up in the exhibition venue but their colleague suddenly leaves for urgent matter. YUEN-HAN doesn't know how to set up everything on her own and she is very upset.… ...
Episode 7
LAM FAT misconceives that YIP KWAI is attacking him so he bites YIP KWAI's shoulder fiercely. YEE-MAN tries to console LAM FAT. AH-NUI suddenly reports that YIP KWAI is missing after stealing money in the pawn shop. While wondering if they should report the case to the police, YEE-MAN suddenly learns from the police that somebody has stolen YIP KWAI's money and YIP KWAI is injured. YEE-MAN and the others rush to the hospital and YIP KWAI reveals everything to them... YU-PO cheerfully announces to everybody that she has found a job and she wants to borrow YUEN-HAN's luxurious bag for work. WAI-TING immediately decides to give the bag to her and YUEN-HAN is upset. YU-PO resigns after working for one day only for she thinks that the work is too hard. It is rather surprising that YEE-MAN, YU-CHU and WAI-TING think that YU-PO has done nothing wrong.… ...
Episode 8
YUEN-HAN wants a divorce and she tries to pack up her belongings in the bedroom. YU-CHU tries to stop her and persuades her to stay. YUEN-HAN finally agrees to stay but the condition is WAI-TING should leave. WAI-TING wants to reunite with YUEN-HAN so he asks YEE-MAN for help but... YU-CHU will be transferred to Regional Crime Unit soon. While patrolling with her colleague, YU-CHU discovers the senior inspector of Regional Crime Unit KWOK-MING in a car and she goes to greet him loudly. KWOK-MING is actually carrying out his duty and this ruins their plan completely. YU-PO announces to everybody that she has found a new part-time job and she will become the personal assistant of the new singer PUI-YEE. YEE-MAN objects the idea while others think that YU-PO will lose interest in the job very soon and they persuade YEE-MAN to take it easy.… ...
