Season 1
Mick Brisgau, a tough cop of the old school, is shot in the 1980s and only wakes up after 20 years in a coma. Cell phones, computers, and the internet are foreign to him.
Season 2
In season 2 of “ The Last Cop ,” Mick Brisgau continues to struggle with the changes in the modern world after his coma, while his unorthodox methods increasingly cause friction with his boss.
Season 3
In season 3 of “ The Last Cop ,” Mick Brisgau must continue to cope with the changed world after his 20-year coma and solve cases alongside his partner Andreas, while also deepening his new relationship and experiencing personal setbacks.
Season 4
In season 4 of “ The Last Cop ,” Mick Brisgau returns from a period of exile from the police force in a forest cabin after learning that the gun that once shot him into a coma was used in a murder, reawakening his “cop instincts.”

After a botched operation, Mick Brisgau is demoted to patrol officer, while Andreas Kringge encounters skepticism and mistrust at the LKA and attempts to uncover a case from Mick's past with an inflammatory police file.

Those presumed dead live longer. This is especially true for Mick Brisgau. For exactly 11 years, 3 months, and 8 days, “The Last Cop” was missing and even declared dead. Now he suddenly reappears in his Essen precinct. And gets caught up in a murder case. Where was Mick all this time? How did he escape? And how will the shrewd Ruhrpott cop get out of this mess and get rid of the handcuffs?

In Mick's next case the dead body of a man is found in a Santa Claus costume. Mick and his younger colleague gradually discover that the deceased has led a double life.
Survival Training
A slightly different management training on the upper floor of a prestigious bank, fought with paintball weapons against burnout, is stopped when someone gets killed.

Mick and Andreas find a strange symbol in the villa of the murdered porn producer Jäcki Pfeiffer. It leads them to the magazine "Lilith" from the 80s.
The Round Thing Has to Make it Into the Square
The striker Maren from the women's football club Fortuna Rüttenscheid was murdered in the locker room.
