Davey and Goliath is a 1960s stop-motion animated children's Christian television series. The programs, produced by the Lutheran Church in America, were produced by Art Clokey after the success of his Gumby series. Each 15-minute episode features the adventures of Davey Hansen and his "talking" dog Goliath as they learn Christian doctrine through everyday occurrences.

Lost in a Cave
A young man faces life's ups and downs with his canine companion.

Stranded on an Island
Davey and his family rent a boat to picnic on an island far off shore. Davey's father loses track of the time and when the Hansen family prepares to return home, they discover the tide has run out and their boat is beached far from the water line.

The Wild Goat
While on a hike, Davey rescues a mountain goat who had a leg broken by a fallen tree limb. When he brings the goat home to recuperate, the wild creature's antics soon have Davey in hot water.

The Winner
Jealous and envious of his friend Mike, Davey enters a soap box derby.

The New Skates
Disobeying his mother, Davey skates on thin ice and falls through. Thankfully, Goliath is there to rescue him.

Cousin Barney
Davey is amazed that his father continues to show affection to Barney, Davey's annoying young cousin who has come for a visit.

The Kite
Davey and his friends try to build a kite, but their feverish efforts to get it aloft are at cross-purposes and result in disaster.

The Mechanical Man
Davey is fascinated by a new remote controlled robot toy until he realizes it cannot love.
