The show challenges the age-old notion of marrying daughters into wealth while seeking poorer daughters-in-law. Set in Mumbai, it follows the Karnik family, a well-to-do joint family. Atharva Karnik, the youngest son, loves Ananya, a rich girl. His mother, already struggling with her wealthy daughter-in-law’s tantrums, doubts Ananya’s ability to fit in. Their relationship faces constant tests, reinforcing societal beliefs.
