About
In the late 1980s, in the small Italian town Pavia, teenager Max finds solace in comic books and American music, standing out as a non-conformist in a place there is nothing to be rebellious about. After neglecting high school to pursue friendships and punk nights, failure inevitably catches up with him. But this opens doors to a life-changing opportunity, transferring to a new high school where he crosses paths with Mauro. Music makes the pair inseparable. Thanks to Mauro’s driving force, Max embraces his musical talent and together they compose the first songs that will be produced by Claudio Cecchetto. But when success overwhelms them, the question arises: will Max and Mauro, despite their differences, manage to stick together?

Max Pezzali is shocked by his failure: no vacation, distant friends and a summer to spend working in the family shop. The only consolation is music. However, his summer takes an unexpected turn when Silvia invites him out and Max, to impress her, promises to write a song for her.

Mauro, after working all summer to buy DJ equipment, is determined to deliver his mixtape to a famous American DJ. He meets Max, his new classmate, with whom he shares a passion for music. During an afternoon of adventures, the two become friends and Max lets him listen to one of his songs.

Max and Mauro are invited to play on television but there's a problem: the performance is the day before the final exam!

The return to Pavia could be a failure but provincial life will inspire Max and Mauro to write a song that could change everything.

883 wrote the hit of the summer of 1992 but nobody knows who they are. A tour will force Max and Mauro to invent their own way of performing.
