At the end of the first season, Emir Saladin's disappearance forced Sultan Nureddin Zengi to lift the Siege of Jerusalem. Rescued by knight Balian, Saladin's journey saw him face slavery, rebellion, and pivotal battles in Egypt, where he rose to power as Vizier with the Fatimid Caliph's approval. Despite tensions with Nureddin Zengi's circle, Saladin solidified control over key cities like Damascus, Aleppo, and Cairo, laying the groundwork for the Ayyubid State. After defeating King Guy at Hattin, Saladin fulfilled his lifelong dream by reclaiming Jerusalem peacefully, earning admiration as the city's unchallenged conqueror.

In the 12th century during the Crusader invasions, Saladin, raised with a commitment to justice and the freedom of Jerusalem, leads the Serhad Ghazis against the Knights Templar besieging Ascalan, a key city for Jerusalem's defense. Despite the state council's refusal, Saladin defies orders to aid Ascalan, facing both external enemies and internal conflicts. Amidst the chaos, a love blossoms between Saladin and Süreyya, the daughter of Ascalan's Emir. As they navigate their forbidden romance and the challenges of war, the question remains:

Turanşah's wrong decision changed the course of the war and brought Şehinşah to the brink of death. While the events in Asqalan caused chaos in the Zengi State, the security of the Pilgrimage Route was also endangered. While this incident causes Selahaddin to be tried in the court, it also progresses towards revealing the big secret. The people of Ascalan will blame Saladin for the loss they suffered and call the Zengis to account. Saladin will struggle under the pressure of the members of the council on the one hand and the people of Ascalan on the other. He now has to act more strategically as he continues his fight against the Crusaders. But Saladin was in big trouble with the state court before the Crusaders. Because he went to Askalan despite the negative decision of the court. He will now be tried for violating the court decision.

Saladin gained a powerful trump card in his fight against the Crusaders and captured Victoria and the Grand Master. However, during the exchange he plans to make for Askalan, an unexpected event occurs and the security of the Pilgrimage Road is endangered. This incident, which puts Saladin in a very difficult situation, causes him to face reactions from both Sultan Nureddin and Süreyya. On the other hand, the fact that Gabriel is aware of Saladin's moves indicates that there is a traitor in the palace. In the midst of all these crises, Saladin will need to both keep the captives and reveal the traitor inside. He takes action and puts forward a risky plan to achieve these goals. But the real betrayal will come from a place he never expected, and as a result, Sultan Nureddin will be assassinated.

But Victoria falls into the hands of an unexpected person and all balances are turned upside down. On the other hand, another difficult obstacle awaits Saladin: A wild warrior named Gregor has sworn to avenge his older brother Gabriel. In response to the atrocities committed by Gregor, Sultan Nureddin and Saladin decide to besiege Askalan. But this will not be easy.

This situation causes a harsh conflict on the front of Saladin and Sultan Nureddin. Gregor, who is fully vengeful towards Saladin, takes action immediately and kills the Alps and Halil that Saladin had rescued from captivity in a brutal move. Halil's death was met with great pain and anger in the Askalan tribe. In response to Gregor's action, Saladin virtually declares war. Nureddin is clear in his decision. He will not act without establishing unity with Muslim Gentlemen. Father and son come to a serious crossroads at this point, and Saladin sets out to fight alone.

Faced with this great danger, Saladin begins to search for those responsible for the assassination that took place in the palace. A very secret and dangerous organization that has been sleeping for a long time has awakened again under the leadership of the Lord of the Mountain, and intends to end the peace among Muslims forever with the assassinations they carry out by hiding in the shadows! Saladin rolls up his sleeves to find the traitors who have infiltrated the deepest parts of the palace and the camps, on a path full of traps at every step, and reach the Lord of the Mountain.

Falling into the trap set by the Lord of the Mountain, Saladin was caught by Nusreddin with Izzeddin's corpse. While Sultan Nureddin was fighting sword with Böriler, he unexpectedly appeared as the Lord of the Mountain "Rashidüddin Sinan". While Selahaddin is arrested and taken to the palace to be tried, he escapes from Nusreddin's hands and goes after Reyhani to foil the game set on the state through him. He will not return without revealing the truth at all costs. Sultan Nureddin knows that Böriler will not be stopped any longer. In order not to shed brother's blood, he makes a decision that shocks everyone and takes İsmet Hatun as a prisoner and takes her to the palace. This move of Sultan Nureddin for unity will confuse the whole palace, especially Melike Hatun.
