Despite their engagement, Paulina left Quim for another Mod with a faster scooter. But with her return, Quim is willing to forgive and forget, and it's not long before they are engaged again - much to the disapproval of Joca and Grandad. Things get worse when Paulina moves into the flat and refuses to do her share of the housework.

When Quim and Joca's estranged father shows up on Christmas Day after an eighteen-year absence, the Fintas family is suddenly thrown into turmoil.
