Runaway Lugaai is a Hindi web series that unfolds the life of Rajnikant Sinha, son of MLA Narendra Sinha. Rajnikanth, fondly known as Rajni, has been a naive and submissive person all his life which has led him to lead his life on the directions of his politician father. So much so, that his professional career also goes up for a toss because of his father being a politician. However, things turn better when Rajni meets Bulbul, the love of his life. Bulbul is a cheerful, spirited girl who was love at first sight for Rajni. As he gets married to her, the tale of opposites attract comes true, However, Rajni’s happiness is short-lived as one fine day he comes back to find Bulbul missing. When Bulbul is nowhere to be found, Rajni goes out on a frenzied search for her. What is the reason behind Bulbul’s disappearance? Is this some political conspiracy against the family or is an ex-lover involved?

Season 1
Episode 1
Rajnikant aka Rajni, a newly designated District Court Judge of Bhagalpur and son of MLA Narendra Sinha gains popularity for announcing verdicts in one hearing. Narendra, struggling to get an election ticket from Patna, exploits his son’s position. Bulbul, Rajni's free spirited bold wife, escapes the house.
Episode 2
Rajni blames his father for his wife’s (Bulbul) escape. Narendra unofficially appoints a police officer Shakti to hunt his daughter-in law. Meanwhile, Bulbul’s father, Dushrath as calm as the sea, receives a phone call. Who could it be?
Episode 3
Dushrath reminds Narendra of the time when he warned him about Bulbul’s devilry. Shakti, the cop appointed by Narendra entrusts three constables to tap into Bulbul’s facebook chats. He informs MLA Narendra Singh that Bulbul has eloped with username “Justin Bieber."
Episode 4
Distraught and devastated, Rajni isolates himself in his room filled with prints of Bulbul’s Facebook chats. Narendra, once consoling, commands Rajni to resume his job. The inability to do so will be a threat to his party ticket.
Episode 5
Rajni resumes working at the Bhagalpur’s District court. He announces the verdict in favor of the wife. At his residence in Bhagalpur, he sits dejectedly with his colleague Mishra Ji, drinking alcohol. Mishra Ji suggests Rajni to look at his wedding video to find Justin Bieber.
Episode 6
Rajni drops in at his in-laws to look at the wedding photo album in order to find Teddy mManav. Rajni tries to communicate the note on the greeting card to his father but is ignored. On the flip side, Dushrath gathers a man’s documents and drives to a desolate place to set them on fire.
Episode 7
Rakesh, the man whose photos and documents were set ablaze by Dushrath, stands in front of him at one of his secret homes. Rajni’s reputation is at stake in the court. Shakti directs constables to find Rakesh and Bulbul ASAP.
Episode 8
To fight media’s backlash, Narendra sends his house help dressed up as Bulbul. He asks her to keep the ghoonghat and draws a tattoo on her waist to fool the journalists. Shakti then visits the paan shop to discover that Rakesh visits the same photo studio where Bulbul got her pictures clicked.
