Sister Kate is a No-Nonsense Nun who is unwillingly sent to take care of a group of Orphans who can't seem to get adopted. Sister Kate, despite having a severe dislike for children, soon realizes that they are not all bad, and is willing to let bygones be bygones.
Freddy's Bad Habit
Kate goes to extraordinary measures to break Freddy's smoking habit. Neville gets upset when someone wants to adopt Viloet.
Eugene's Secret
All the kids grumble when Kate pairs them off in bedrooms, but none as much as Eugene, who has a secret reason for not wanting a roommate.

Tomboy Freddy plays a couquette to attract a guy in auto shop, and Neville plays havoc with the peace in his search for an instrument he can play.

April is irked because Eugene picked Freddy to sketch in the buff, and Violet is irked because Neville is spending time with Kate.
Neville's Hired Hand
Neville is so taken with a vagrant who stops for food that Kate hires him as a cook and handyman , on the condition that he continues to stay off booze that he swears he's sworn off.
Hilary's Date
Hilary does a masterly job of keeping her wheelchair a secret from a boy she likes; and Neville gives Kate the silent treatment after she upbraids him for his language.
Violet's Friend
Violet's Imaginary friend comes to visit and has the gang in an uproar. Violet get upset when the others pretend to see her, and she runs away. Sister Kate gets a phone call from a local hospital telling her Violet is there. Violet went to the hospital because that is where she last saw her friend alive. The friends invisible counterpart is how Violet coped with the death.
